Members of the community and leaders of An Achievable Dream gathered Saturday evening to celebrate the school, its achievements and the life and work of its founder, Walter Segaloff.
More than 900 attended the 21st annual Tennis Ball, a name that hearkens back to the program’s roots, when it was begun by Segaloff as a summer program teaching tennis to children. It became an after-school program and has grown into an extended-day, year-round K-12 program focused on breaking the cycle of poverty through education. Saturday night’s event included dinner, live and silent auctions, speakers and a video tribute to Segaloff.
