Planned Gifts

Consider the following gifts that keep on giving: real estate, mutual funds, life insurance, charitable trust, and charitable gift annuities. Prior to making a planned gift, it is recommended that you consult your own tax or legal advisor.

United Way

Please designate An Achievable Dream as the recipient of your contribution (pledge, check or payroll deduction) through United Way. Contact your benefits administrator for information.

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match contributions made by their employees. If your company offers this type of program, request a matching gift form from your employer, complete and send with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies will also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

Combined Federal
or State Campaigns

An Achievable Dream participates in the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign. This program allows state employees to donate to AAD through their workplace. There are numerous options for giving, including online participation and payroll deduction. See your benefits administrator for more information.

Gifts in Kind

Support An Achievable Dream with an in-kind donation of supplies or services. Examples include school or art supplies, gently used musical instruments, new gift items or toys for the Santa Store, tennis rackets or balls, admission tickets for museums, movie theaters or sporting events.

Auction Items for Fundraising Galas

Donate an auction item(s) to either the Tennis Ball (gala benefitting our Newport News program) or A Night to Dream (gala benefitting our Virginia Beach program). Items are needed in a variety of categories and may include gift certificates for restaurants, admission fees, sporting events or services. Please call 757-599-9472 for information.

A Gift in Honor of A Special Occasion

Want to make a gift to AAD in someone’s honor to celebrate a special occasion or mark a momentous event? We offer cards you can download (or request a hard copy from our office) to send to your friend or loved ones to let them know about your gift.
